The industry standard "Technical Specification for Single-layer Waterproof Membrane Roofing Engineering" (JGJ/T316-2013) will be implemented from June 1, 2014.
Single-layer waterproof coiled material roofing engineering system technology has been used in developed countries such as Europe and the United States for more than 20 years. In the past ten years, there have been more large-scale industrial building roofing engineering application examples in China, which are widely used in industrial buildings, commercial buildings, large-span roofing of public buildings such as stadiums, exhibition halls, airports, waiting halls, and residential roofing projects, it is a new type of roof system that reduces the level of roof structure, saves resources, shortens the construction period and improves the energy saving of buildings.
Single-layer waterproofing membrane roof is an important innovation in the development of roof waterproofing engineering. It mainly adopts polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waterproofing membrane, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) waterproofing membrane, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) waterproofing membrane, elastomer (SBS) modified asphalt waterproofing membrane and plastic body (APP) modified asphalt waterproofing membrane for single-layer exposed use, forming a roof system with three construction modes of mechanical fixation, full adhesion and empty laying and roof pressing.
There is no separate technical specification for the design and construction of single-layer waterproof coiled material roof. In the "Technical Specification for Sloping Roof Engineering" (GB50693-2011), it only stipulates the mechanical fixing system, and the others have not made very systematic provisions. The introduction of regulations will make up for the blank in the field of technical specifications for single-layer waterproofing membrane roofing engineering in China, and promote the healthy development of single-layer waterproofing membrane roofing engineering technology in China.
