Recently, Shandong Province has identified the first batch of four green ecological demonstration urban areas, among which the Beicheng New District of Linyi City, Shandong Province is among them.

It is understood that in order to promote the construction of green and low-carbon urbanization, four demonstration urban areas, including Beicheng New District of Linyi City, Zibo New District, Yantai High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Beihu Provincial Tourism Resort of Jining City, have received 10 million yuan of incentive funds through the procedures of municipal recommend, expert review, centralized defense and competition. The new buildings in the green ecological demonstration city will fully implement the national and provincial green building standards. Within two years, the construction scale of green buildings will be no less than 1 million square meters, of which the proportion of two-star and above green buildings will exceed 30%.
